This course aims to diagnose and treat vertical defects, as well as the use of non-resorbable membranes, grafts, fixation systems, and suture materials essential for the success of vertical bone augmentation.
Courses
Upon completion, the professional will understand which types of vertical defects are managed through Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) techniques and will have the necessary tools to handle these cases in their practice. Therefore, they will be capable of diagnosing, managing, and recognizing the different types of biomaterials used in GBR, as well as managing complications related to the exposure of non-resorbable membranes.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The main objective is for the professional to learn how to diagnose vertical defects, understand the concept of Guided Bone Regeneration, its principles, biomaterials, and most importantly, establish a protocol for managing complications.
The professional will have the opportunity to participate in live hands-on sessions, where they will learn how to properly adapt non-resorbable membranes.
They will become familiar with different types of fixation used in vertical bone regeneration.
They will identify suture materials to determine which is most appropriate for these procedures.
They will learn to manage soft tissues, from incision through flap detachment, concluding with the ideal suturing technique to prevent membrane exposure.
They will be able to diagnose, classify, and apply a precise protocol for managing membrane exposures to avoid failures in vertical bone regeneration.
