Advanced Training at the Círculo Odontológico de Mar del Plata
Courses
This course focuses on the development of advanced and intermediate techniques in bone regeneration using membranes and bone substitutes. It includes detailed instruction on delicate flap dissection techniques (both lingual and buccal), membrane fixation, harvesting of autologous bone, and proper post-surgical follow-up. The program continues with prosthetic procedures, including material selection (zirconia, lithium disilicate, porcelain-fused-to-metal), complex impressions involving prepared natural teeth, digital workflows, provisional restorations, and vestibuloplasties.
We will also explore the use of laser technology—specifically Diode (940 nm) and Erbium-Chromium (2780 nm)—both as a surgical tool and a biostimulant.
The course includes alveolar preservation techniques using PRF and/or collagen membranes in cases of buccal bone wall loss.
Additionally, treatment completion will be addressed through a periodontal maintenance plan and the fabrication of an organic occlusal guard.
This year, we’ve added a new module on sinus floor elevation—both lateral and transcrestal approaches through the implant site—with the integration of laser technology into this surgical technique.
All sessions will be held at the Dr. Madikian Center for Excellence in Training, and will include both theoretical and hands-on components.
As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to practice surgical techniques and membrane fixation on pig mandibles.
